A small bird holds a golden key in its beak. The deep blue background glows softly around it, giving the painting a quiet sense of mystery.
This work is about inner happiness and the small, important moments that make up a life. The key is a reminder that happiness can be unlocked within ourselves. Acrylic on oval canvas, 30×40 cm, 2024. Signed original.
Part of the series “Thoughts”
Eight works painted over the years of emigration — from Russia to Estonia, and then to Portugal (2022–2026). Recurring images of birds, nests and a cocoon, warm light on deep blue, and fine unbroken threads. The shared thought: home is not walls or borders, but what you carry inside.
