Eight works painted over the years of emigration — from Russia to Estonia, and then to Portugal (2022–2026). Each painting is a thought, an inner word or image worked through in paint: about leaving, about uncertainty, about adapting, and about what helps you keep your footing in a time of change.
The works are tied together by recurring images: birds as a sign of migration and freedom; a nest and a cocoon as a home you carry with you or build anew; warm light on a deep blue ground as hope and inner balance; fine threads as a bond that doesn’t break with the move. From “Thoughts” and “Words” at the start of the road, through “Home,” “Silkworm Moth,” “Bird of Happiness” and “Treasures,” to “Home Is Where We Are Together” — where home is finally found within, in the people you keep close. The shared thought of the series: home is not walls or borders, but what you carry inside.
