About this work
At the centre of the work is the image of a nest — a symbol of home, closeness and trust. Here home is born not from walls and things, but from the relationships between those who stay near, care for one another and keep returning to a sense of unity.
The birds in this composition become an image of connection, of waiting and of a shared path. The nest is seen as a space that is built gradually — through care, presence and love.
“Home Is Where We Are Together” is a work about the inner sense of home that arises wherever there is closeness, acceptance and the wish to be side by side.
Materials: oil on round canvas

2026
Eight works painted over the years of emigration — from Russia to Estonia, and then to Portugal (2022–2026). Recurring images of birds, nests and a cocoon, warm light on deep blue, and fine unbroken threads. The shared thought: home is not walls or borders, but what you carry inside.
