About this work
A white peacock against deep blue — a bird of light around which the night opens in circles. Its feathers shimmer with pearl, pink and lilac tones.
The white peacock is a rarity among rarities, a symbol of purity and dignity: it needs no bright colours to be beautiful. Acrylic on canvas, 40×40 cm, 2022. Signed original.
Part of the series “Thoughts”
Eight works painted over the years of emigration — from Russia to Estonia, and then to Portugal (2022–2026). Recurring images of birds, nests and a cocoon, warm light on deep blue, and fine unbroken threads. The shared thought: home is not walls or borders, but what you carry inside.
