About this work
Not all flowers are about tenderness and fragility. Some are about strength, about resilience, about life that grows no matter what.
At the centre is a bouquet of proteas and wildflowers, painted in vivid pink and violet tones. The protea, known as a flower of endurance and strength, becomes a symbol of the inner resource that matters most in times of change and adaptation. It is surrounded by fine, dense ornament — like the backdrop of a life full of emotion, memory and the light of hope.
The round canvas heightens the sense of enclosure and wholeness: as if the flowers were held in a world of their own, yet radiating energy outward.
This painting is a reminder that even the most decorative beauty can hold an enormous life force.
