About this work
Ink drawing meets a soft watercolour haze: the chrysanthemum opens where precise line and free colour come together. A bee flying towards the flower is the small detail that brings the whole sheet to life.
The chrysanthemum is a flower of autumn and quiet joy. Ink and watercolour on A2 paper (420×594 mm), 2023. Signed original.
Part of the series “What Flowers Say”
Three botanical sheets in ink and watercolour (2023): chrysanthemum, protea and cactus. Precise line and free colour, needle and petal — a conversation about what flowers tell us about ourselves.
