In this work the artist turns to the image of a self-portrait, joining it with the symbol of a dove — the bird of peace, calm and hope.
The figure is shown in a moment of inner quiet: closed eyes, a soft expression and a bird sitting calmly on the shoulder create a sense of trust and safety. The dove becomes not just part of the composition but an extension of the sitter’s emotional state.
